Caitlin Longsworth is our new Flute teacher. I have played the flute for 7 years now. I've done pep band and concert band as well as solo and ensemble earning a silver medal my freshman year. I also play a little but of the Guitar. I will be graduating this year as well and plan to go to college to be a Zoo Vet. I also teach drawing classes on Thursday nights as well as restringing guitars. I am big into Mythology and Renaissance studies as well.

David Sutton is our new low brass teacher. Main instrument is Tuba. Graduate of Bellmont High School, and was a member of the Bellmont High School Band of Braves for 5 years (starting in 8th grade). While in High School I was part of the IPFW 3 Rivers Honor Band for the 2 years that I auditioned, achieving 4th Chair my 11th grade year, and 2nd Chair my Senior year. As well as that, I received 2 Silver medals, 1 at the Level 1 and 1 at Level 2; and 1 gold medal at the Level 2.

I volunteered with the Bellmont Band, as well, this summer, and co-ran the low brass and trumpet sectionals with the assistant band director there. I am currently going into my second semester of schooling at IPFW to get my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Tuba studies. I have played trombone, which I taught myself, for the Bellmont High School jazz band, and have played Euphonium, also self taught, in small ensembles.
I was born in December of 1994. Also, in high school I played for the musicals every year, as well as this year. 5 years total. I am also currently taking lessons from Sam Gnagey, the tuba player for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Drum Instructor-TJ Blackburn

My name is TJ Blackburn, and I have been playing drums since I was 13. I started in the middle school band and stayed with it ever since for a combined total of 14 years playing experience. I have been in countless bands in the Decatur/Fort Wayne area and specialize in Rock, Prog, Metal, and a large majority of its sub-genres. I am fully self taught and plan to give my students the tools to do the same. I can take on beginner to intermediate students with a customized syllabus for each student, depending on their strengths and weaknesses. I am excited and look forward to working with you.

New Guitar Teacher at DMM--Randy O’Neal was born in May in 1969, his life in music began when he started playing guitar in the 7th grade. He has played in bands such as; Satyr, Kaged, AngelX and Bar None. He also previously taught guitar at Stage Left Music in Ft. Wayne.
He currently plays guitar in both the CG Praise band at (Common Ground Church) as well as with Hill Billy Blues. He has played in many venues bars, clubs, weddings and benefits.
Randy has been mainly self-taught, yet he has studied with area players including John Forbing, Laura Lyda and Ken Jehle. He also took classes in guitar and music theory at both Taylor University Ft. Wayne and IPFW. He is currently working for a degree in performing arts at I.P.F.W. He has also taken part in theatrical lighting and sound at IPFW and often attends educational and product training sessions at Sweetwater Sound including the representatives for guitar companies such as Taylor, Harmony and Fender guitars. Randy is proficient in DMX light programming using an ION system and sound design for concert and theatrical staging.
Randy’s influences have been Blues, Christian, and 80’s rock bands. His motto is that one must be versatile and persistent in music to gain any kind of success. He claims his love for everything from Metallica to Mozart. He teaches beginners to intermediate guitar. He and his wife reside in Decatur with his four children.
